I have always been convinced that my mission is to take the extra step every day to improve the piece of the world in which I live. I always believed that I had to do my part, even if it was small, even if “unimportant”. “Guardami Oltre…!” (Sanremo for the social) was a bit ‘this for me. I had the opportunity to give my contribution to support projects carried out by more fragile people, in an exchange where those who donate receive more.
When I was asked to participate in this initiative with the products of my land, with the pasta of the Azienda Agricola Vestri, made with the ancient Tuscan grains following the Shumei principles of natural agriculture, I had no hesitation, as happens when we listen to the call of the atavistic things that dwell within us.
Become a partner of the event and donate pasta. Donating food creates a special relationship between people, because food is sustenance, it is a desire to take care of others.
The threads of pasta, to imply this desire for union, have magically intertwined in two beautiful jewels – a tribal necklace and a brooch, the first created by the artist Valentina Gaudiosi, the second by the creativity and passion of Ezia Pentericci and Monica Macelloni, the wonderful souls of the Historical Archive of the Fruit and the Flower of Florence.
The two jewels were worn during the event by the presenter Patrizia del Vasco and by my friend PiantaGrani, Loredana Parisi. It was a great emotion to see the fruits of my land become even more precious in the act of embracing the other. And become a symbol of union.
Guardami Oltre, he has allowed me to listen to the stories of people who with dignity face their problems and who by their example are a stimulus to act, having as the polar star the most authentic values of love, respect and the common good. As Patrizia del Vasco said, the marvelous creator of this event “we can not live only for ourselves, it is only together that we are truly happy“. First of all together with the fragile people who told their beautiful stories of suffering but also of courage and love.
From adolescents in treatment at the Oncology Pediatrics Department of the National Cancer Institute of Milan, who have become bearers of hope with their words in music that praise happiness despite the disease. From the Rione Sanità Foundation of Naples, which works with infancy at risk, to stem the discomfort of the youngsters to the Rome Never Give Up, which deals with disorders of nutrition and nutrition, with their intervention on food and emotions and that deals with increasingly widespread problems such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating. Until the meeting with the music and with the teacher Peppe Vessicchio who in the course of his speech has used simple words to explain a concept that is not simple: everything we do in our lives affects our well-being, even a gesture taken for granted a song that we like can activate “vibrations” that interconnect us with the deepest parts of ourselves and the surrounding world, looking for a balance that is not easy to find and maintain.
So I was not surprised to hear the results of some studies, according to which growing tomatoes with the background music of Mozart gave better results in terms of production, compared to crops without music.
I imagine already my vineyard or my wheat field to benefit from the force of the vibrations produced by the music of Mozart together with the wind, the sun, the water and the blessing of nature itself.
